Visitors have the possibility of visiting the island by renting a bike, a scooter or a car - to drive a car, you will need a valid international driver’s licence. All these can be booked through our agency. Organised tours to various parts of the island (See Places of Interest) can also be reserved and arranged in advance through us. The most popular ones are listed below.
1. ILE AUX CERFS Departure from your hotel at 08.30 towards Ile aux Cerfs going along the North, visiting the model ship factory on the way. Visit to waterfalls in speed boat. Water sports facilities available on the island. Lunch (barbecue: fish, chicken, sausage, salad) including drinks (soft drink, wine, beer, rum, water), dessert and coffee on the island. Departure from Ile aux Cerfs at 15.30 passing by the Botanical garden at Pamplemousses and back to your hotel around 18.00.
SOUTH WEST A Departure from your hotel at 08.30 towards Curepipe. Visiting Floreal Square, the extinct volcano at Trou aux Cerfs and the town of Curepipe. We then leave for sacred lake at Grand Bassin. Visit to seven colored earth at Chamarel and the Black River Gorges. Return with a final stop at Casela Bird Park and back to your hotel around 18.00.
SOUTH WEST B Departure from your hotel at 08.30 towards La Vanille Crocodile Park at Riviere des Anguilles. After this visit, we then leave for the historic village of Souillac contemplating the luxuriant vegetation of the Southern part of the island, visiting Gris-Gris cliffs, Rochester Waterfalls, Riambel Beach, Baie du Cap, Morne Brabant and towards the South West of the island by Black River and Tamarin, the paradise for surfers. Return to your hotel with a final stop at Casela Bird Park.
SOUTH EAST Departure from your hotel at 08.30 to the Domaine Les Pailles passing by the town of Port Louis. We then leave for the South East, stopping at Eureka Colonial House at Moka and proceeding to Le Val Nature Park. Discover the wild sea in this part of the island and visit the historic town of Mahebourg with its naval museum, Blue Bay Beach and the Domaine du Chasseur at Grand Bois. Return to your hotel along the Eastern Coast through Grand River South East and Central Flacq.
Yacht Cruises
Cruises will enable you to discover the islets surrounding our paradise island. The islets are nature reserves which can be explored and the most famous are : Ile aux Cerfs, Ile aux Bénitiers, Ilot Gabriel , Gunner’s Quoin and Round Island. Conditions for sailing are ideal with an aft wind. You are highly recommended to bring along hats, sun-tan cream for sun protection, cameras, towels and swimsuits.
